Dr. William E Burns Jr. has served the Brazoria County area as a Family Practitioner since 1979. He is the owner and supervising physician for Burns Family Practice, located in Lake Jackson, Texas.


His educational journey includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.
  • Medical degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
  • Residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.
  • Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern in Fort Worth, TX.


He has been a resident of Brazoria County since the age of one and he states it brings him so much joy to be able to give back to the community that he was raised in by providing an outstanding place for families to receive quality medical care.


Away from work, he spends most of his free time entertaining and engaging with his grandchildren and loving wife, Rosa. He enjoys going to his property and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys to read and learn as much about history as possible.
