When asked what inspired her to become a nurse practitioner, she responded with:
“Honestly, I never really thought about being a nurse practitioner. I was satisfied with working at the beside as a nurse. After encouragement from family, patients and colleagues I chose to work towards a provider role. After 20 years in nursing, I felt like it was time to transition to be able to use all the knowledge I had gained over the years in a different way. It was absolutely the right decision. The relationships that have blossomed between my patients and I are the most rewarding aspect of it all.”
When she is not at work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, reading and cooking.
