Emily grew up in Brazoria County. She spent her nursing career right here at home. She has experience in a variety of areas including urology, intensive care, surgery, gynecology and nursing management. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she can use her strengths of compassion, positivity, and thoroughness to ensure that patients receive the attention, emotional support, and follow-up they are seeking on their journey to maintain good health.
Emily graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master of Science in Nursing-FNP from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas-Arlington where she was on the Dean’s List for academic excellence. She also received her ADN and LVN in nursing from Brazosport College. She is board certified from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
When asked what inspired her to become a nurse practitioner, her response was:
“As I gained experience at the patient’s bedside and then in management style nursing, I developed a strong desire to deepen my clinical knowledge and take on a leadership role in patient care. I wanted the ability to diagnose, treat and educate my community while maintaining the care and compassion of a nurse.
Emily spends her off time with her amazing family and her sweet goldendoodle. She enjoys being outdoors, playing with her kids, as well as sewing and embroidery.
